The Quincy Farmers Market was established in 2000 by the Feather River Food Co-op in response to a strong community need for fresh, local produce. For nearly two decades, it served as a hub for connecting local farmers and artisans with the Quincy community. The market took a hiatus in 2019, and the COVID-19 pandemic stifled any plans to relaunch it.
In early 2024, Feather River Food Co-op and Lost Sierra Food Project began a conversion of reviving the Quincy Farmers Market. A committee was created shortly thereafter, and seemingly overnight, we gained an overwhelming amount of support from local community members and organizations.
We determined that the market would be held in the spacious backyard of Rich Bar Taproom in Downtown Quincy. The Farmers Market Committee was lucky enough to also obtain the support of Plumas Arts, who will be in charge of booking musical acts.

The Quincy Farmers Market connects our community with fresh, locally grown food, while supporting local producers and artists. We are committed to promoting sustainable agriculture, fostering economic, social, and environmental justice, and creating a welcoming space for community interaction and growth.

To cultivate a thriving local economy and vibrant community by empowering local farmers, revitalizing downtown Quincy, and championing sustainability, accessibility, and meaningful connections between producers and consumers.
